Information about Deutscher Wachtelhund

Dutch Shepherd Puppies

Like other all-purpose farm dogs, the Dutch Shepherd is intelligent and lively. He is an excellent herder, and in the past would take the sheep to pasture and back on his own, a testament to his independent nature. Your Dutch Shepherd puppy can have a mind of his own, but he learns quickly and is a loyal companion. All of these traits make the breed a popular choice for dog sports, search and rescue and tracking. With guard instincts too, they are even used as security and police dogs.
