Information about Tibetan Mastiffs

Tibetan Mastiff Puppies

The Tibetan Mastiff has one purpose in life: to guard and protect. Originally bred in the Himalayas, they were usually kept confined during the day and let out to roam the property at night. Because of his extremely independent nature, the Tibetan Mastiff is not suited to organized activities like obedience training or dog sports. He may be so protective of family and property that it can be difficult to bring other people into the house. Even outdoors, it's best to have a contained, fenced exercise space. Tibetan Mastiff puppies will grow up to be powerful and highly intelligent dogs, who perform their guardian duties extremely well.
