Upcoming Qualifying Notice
The next notice to all qualified dogs and dogs within the Top 30 of qualifying will be sent on Tuesday 10/11/2011. That notice will contain important information on entering the event. Some dogs are clear to enter now and those who might be in the final Top 25 have to wait until the Final Standings of the Top 25 have been tabulated. This should be done on or about October 23rd.
It will also contain a link to the Premium List for the three MBF all-breed dog shows that will take place in the same venue before the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. Please note the MBF shows have a different (and later) closing date than our Onofrio superintended Show. To view the MBF Premium List: click here.
If you have a dog that is qualified and have not received any of the recent e-mails please check your spam folder and update your "My AKC" Account or call customer service to do so.
Today the official AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Premium List is added online here and on the Onofrio Dog Show website. The Premium List will also be sent directly (via e-mail) to all dogs that might be eligible for entry.
If you have a dog that is eligible and have not received and e-mail; please check your "MY AKC" account for a current address. If your dog’s name appears on any of the confirmed lists...you will be fine to enter the show.
Any of the confirmed dogs may enter once the premium list is posted. Please note any International entries must enter at the www.onofrio.com ONLY.
For those who are not familiar with the Onofrio Online entry process: When they ask for an "Exhibitor’s code": that is like a personal Pin Code" or a number selected by you that should be saved in case you have to change or cancel an entry. It is a security measure so only those with that number can access your entry information.
Please Note: The three all-breed shows that precede the National Championship are being superintended by the MBF Dog Show Corporation.
Click here for a one page entry blank that can be filled in and printed.
Ground Transportation information from Orlando Airport has been added to Hotel and Travel link
We have added the form to submit Catalog Ads for the printed catalog that will be sold at the show. This is the perfect place to show off your dog or for a club to share their upcoming event, etc., to the thousands of spectators, judges and exhibitors who purchase this collectable catalog. Your ad will also appear in the Online catalog where the exposure is unlimited!

We are in the process of working out the final details as to the best available rates and accepting dogs with several of the large Hotels that surround the Convention Center as well as some of the smaller hotels along nearby I-Drive. Some of these Hotels do not normally take dogs, but they are making an exception for our event week. Or if they do normally take dogs, perhaps there is a weight restriction, and they are making an exception for our event week. Until these room blocks are available in the Hotel's reservation system- anyone calling the Hotel will get that Hotel's standard response as to their "pet policy".
Watch AKC's website for the list of hotels and rates to be posted as soon as they are available.
NEW: Eligibility for "Veterans" Seven years and older.
We are pleased to announce that we have added a new eligibility for the Veterans who have made a mark during their career. While the event can not offer a separate competition due to time constraints we will be sending invites to any dog over seven years on the day of the show to compete for Best of Breed and if eligible for the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor Award. A dog will need to meet one of the following criteria:
- Winner of an All Breed Best in Show
- Winner of a National Specialty
- Ranked in the Top five in Breed any given year.
After May 1st of 2011, the AKC website will show a list of dogs who meet the above criteria and who will be between 7 and 12 years of age on the first day of the show.
Thank you to all those who contacted us to included these past winners and we look forward to seeing some of these great dogs shine in the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship for many years to come.
We have updated the 2011 list for dogs that could be qualified under the Puppy/BBE, Puppy/AOH Champions as well as any newly qualified Miscellaneous Dogs. Each category has a link to new 2011 updated forms.
Please review these eligibility requirements as they are different from the automatic BBE and AOH Champions who will automatically receive a letter to acknowledge the championship.
