Doing the CAT in Alaska

Alaska Hound Group Association

The Alaska Hound Group Association in conjunction with the California Coursing Association hosted Alaska's first Coursing Ability Tests in Fairbanks, AK on May 28, 2011. Despite the warm 80 degree temperature, the evening event was well attended and being in Alaska, we had plenty of daylight late in the day to complete the tests. There was a great deal of enthusiasm among the 27 participants and observers. The new Hound Group Club very much appreciates this event as it provided an opportunity to introduce new people to the sport. Both participants and the Club are already looking forward to the next tests to be held in the Palmer area on July 23 and 24. Thank you to the AKC for providing such a delightful activity for our dogs.
