Mr. Jaime Ganoza
Jaime Ganoza, of Lima, Peru, is president of the Peruvian Kennel Club. He has been a breeder-owner-handler of Afghans Hounds since 1975 and has produced more than 80 champions under the Dega and Chaman & Dega prefixes. Mr. Ganoza handled his Afghans to more than 70 BIS in Peru and abroad. He has won several Best Breeder of the Year and Best Dog of the Year awards, and internationally his Afghans have won multiples BOB and groups at FCI World Shows, Best Bred-by at two U.S. Afghan nationals, and an Award of Merit at Westminster.
Mr. Ganoza has served several terms on the Peruvian Kennel Club board of directors and is a member of the Judges Council and Genealogic Commission. An all-breed judge, assignments have taken him to national and regional specialties and all-breed shows in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Estonia, Sweden, Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand.
An industrial and systems engineer, Mr. Ganoza shares his life with his family and dogs of many breeds.
