Miguel Angel Martinez
Miguel Angel Martinez, of Buenes Aires, Argentina, was eight years old when he received his first Pointer from his father. He began exhibiting sporting dogs in 1968.
Many of his Crehuatun Kennel sporting dogs have been Argentinian champions and Grand Champions, and have distinguished themselves in FCI competition, including an FCI World Winner at the World Dog Show in Brazil. One of his Vizslas won sixty Bests of Breed and retired after seven years without ever having lost a BOB. Mr. Martinez has bred Pointers, Doberman Pinschers, setters, and Vizslas.
A Federation Cinologique International all-breed judge, Mr. Martinez first worked in the United States in 1992 and has judged most AKC breeds. He has judged in "almost all the countries around the world" and was the only judge from the Americas to work the 2005 Euro Dog Show in Vienna.
Mr. Martinez has been a member of FCI's General Committee since 1995 and belongs to the Federacion Cinologica Argentina's Executive Committee. He was president of the FCI 2005 World Dog Show, held in Buenes Aires.
