Obedience at the Whippet National

The American Whippet Club's 18th National Specialty Show and Obedience Trial runs from April 4 through the 10th. The events are being held at the Embassy Suites hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina. We talked with the National Show Chair, Cindy Scott, and she said that event has set a new world record for Whippets in competition. There are 811 dogs entered in the show with a total entry of 1,212, including 66 obedience entries and 67 agility entries. People came from as far away as Alaska, Canada, France, Norway and South America. Vendors were selling just about anything you can think of related to Whippets.
