Employees at the American Kennel Club understand that Customer Service is not a department or an event. Rather, it is a process of creating an environment of information and assurance.

As a not-for-profit organization in 1884, the AKC is not new to the service business. Over the years, our operating procedures have changed in pace with developing technology and an expanding customer base. We are proud to offer many services on our website, so that you can find the information you need with a few keystrokes. However, we also know that there is often no substitute for the voice of a real, involved person on the telephone. We strive to meet the needs of all of our customers with speed, accuracy, and courtesy.

We realize that when we focus all of our attention on our customers, the rewards add up for everyone. At the AKC, our main concern is for the welfare of the purebred dog. We believe that the best way to fulfill that mission is to provide the best care possible to their breeders, owners, caretakers, and friends--our customers.
